About The Young Active Leadership Programme
I'd like to run a young active leadership programme in my primary school...
That’s great news. We believe that our young active leaders programme is truly unique, inspiring and engaging.
PHASE 1 -The programme starts with young active leaders taking part in 6-8 hours of skills based training. We recommend that this initial phase is delivered either by a Digital Badge IT C.I.C approved tutor or a recognised sports coach. Young active leaders are issued with a leadership journal to log and record their journey. For schools signed up to our DIGI-space package, children are also able to collect and achieve online digital badges as they progress through the programme.
PHASE 2 – Using the printable young active leadership ‘Challenge Cards’ and a variety of other resources, young leaders are introduced to a range of active leadership roles which they can take part in delivering across their schools. You may prefer to use a school member of staff to oversee this phase of the programme.
ADDITIONAL YOUNG LEADER TRAINING (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY) – Schools are also able to access additional young leader training including:

Planning and delivering an ‘Escape Room’ active game.

Young Leader ‘Gameshow Archery’ training.
PHASE 3 – Young leaders log their leadership experience until they graduate from the programme.
What are young active leader DIGI-spaces?
Schools and organisations have the option to subscribe to our young active leaders online platform. Each DIGI-sapce has it’s own unique URL and can be be personalised with your school or organisation logo.
The DIGI-space has 34 digital badges for young leaders to achieve, covering: leadership skills digital badges; leadership challenge digital badges; and leadership awards digital badges.
It’s not only a cool digital badge system, but each DIGI-space also has it’s own events calendar, blog, poll and media gallery. A brilliant opportunity for young leaders to profile and promote their schools PE, sport and active wellbeing.

Young Active Leadership Programme Resources
Upon registration young leaders will receive a 26 page learning journal and name tag. There are also over 70 digital download resources to assist programme tutor delivery and also help young active leaders progress and lead their own active wellbeing programme across the school community. Resources include; young leadership role challenge cards; wall planners; certificates; active games and activity ideas; notice board signs; and much, much more.
